The Flames will probably win some games eventually. Maybe today. Perhaps an OT loss.
They're not terrible, they're mediocre.

At this point it feels like I’m watching a slow agonizing death or something. I’d be pleasantly surprised with a win, but fully expect another lackluster effort and result. Is it not obvious this team as it stands today is no good? The lack of change is what really gets me down.

I guess if we are going to have a dog#### season, it may as well be a 56 game season without fans not an 82 game with fans?

I still care, but I am losing emotional attachment, which may be a good thing.

Not cheering for a loss but fully expecting it and actually think this team bombing is what's best for the franchise. I know most people think this team is good enough and just needs more coaching but this team has been together for a long time and has constantly had problems under 3 different coaches. Ward does have to go because I'm pretty sure some posters on here would make a better head coach but I still think this team is flawed. As good of a leader as Gio is, I don't think he has what it takes to really lead this team and be what the team needs. This team has been mentally fragile for a long time and having an all star goalie hasn't really changed it. Almost all of the team is playing without heart and the guys showing some emotion are being told not to.

A couple of wins now is going to make too many people forget all that is wrong with this team.

A loss will worsen the situation.

A win won't change the already terrible situation.

So basically, it's a nothing game.

The Leafs work harder.

The Leafs are better coached.

The Leafs have significantly more top-end talent.

The Leafs have significantly better depth.

Unless our goalie gets a shutout while playing on his head, I don't see how we come out on top tonight.

What are you talking about? Why wouldn’t a win help the situation you talk like they are 10pts out of the playoffs

Out there prediction:

Gio, as he's done several times already this season, will lean into a shot from the point too hard and break his stick causing an odd man rush against or breakaway.

I have a 1989 Chevy truck.Yes, I purposely bought that year. It’s adorned with fiery Flames and littered with the Flaming C.
The clear coat is starting to peel. Just happened this year. But I won’t drive it off a cliff, because I love it.

I will NEVER stop loving our Flames, even when we’re starting to peel..

I will add to that prediction. The shot will not be on goal.

Please just win... a couple wins against the leafs here and CP will be on the other side of these manic depressive tracks that we are always on heading into a three game set against the Sens. One or two losses here against the leafs and all of the sudden things are looking quite grim.

Gaudreau Hatty, 6-3 win.

Because it's like putting a band-aid on a crack in the concrete.

This team is going absolutely no where this season and I'm done "hoping"/pretending that they're a good consistent team.

So, what you are saying is, the odds of a Flames win are approaching 100%? Come now, you know how this franchise rolls. We always re(pro)gress to the middle...

This team would naturally suck hard in a season where draft eligible players aren't playing. I can't even get excited for a good draft pick.

Crappy time to be a fan.

I really can't see this going well. The Leafs feast on their opponents' mistakes. And the Flames make a lot of mistakes.

EDIT: As for how I feel, I had no huge expectations for the team in the first place. I just hope that if the season doesn't turn around that they finally make some moves to blow this thing up and go in another direction.

I'm also a bit of a Leafs fan, since I live in Toronto and have trouble staying up long enough to watch the Flames these days. So if the Leafs win I won't consider it the end of the world.
