Yeah I’m not afraid of any of the teams in our division in a playoff series. There no Colorado or Las Vegas. Plug in Markstrom last year for us and I think we take care of Dallas.

Sure is nice to be out of the Atlantic division.

As of right now the top 4 teams in the entire NHL are from the Atlantic.

Death division.

Can’t really compare teams this year with no out of division games. Good teams in one division could just mean they are beating up on really bad teams. Also the Atlantic division has had more games going to OT than the others. Of course their point percentages will be higher.

Leafs lost to CBJ last season...they could easily lose to one of the North teams in round one

The Leafs-Habs game during the intermissions had a Saturday night feel to it. Jeff Marek and the panel were doing a decent job discussing the topics. There was only one other game tonight to talk about, too bad it was not a doubleheader. That would have made it even better.

They could but their likely opposition will be the Flames, Jets, or Oilers so not exactly playoff hardened teams.

So, that is an entire Division devoid of "playoff hardened" teams. Neither TO nor Montreal is special in this regard. I guess if you see nothing changing for any of the Canadian teams over the majority of the season, then you would give TO a big edge. But like I said: the Flames's season is not even at the quarter-pole yet, and there are certain to be more peaks and valleys for every team in the Division. We will see how things play out.
