Is the grey representative of the gloomy smog that hangs over Toronto?

I think there should be a rule that goals against the Canucks should count as half a point because they're so easy to get.

Simmonds basically got to walk out unimpeded and then Holtby gave up a gaping hole over his near shoulder.

Wow. We all knew Markstrom covered up some warts. But now that the luck isn’t going their way too, the Canucks are embarrassingly bad.

Tonight is Vancouver's 15th game of the season. It is the 9th time they've allowed at least 5 goals against in a game (9 of 12 against non-Ottawa opponents).

Outside of their 3 games against Ottawa, they've only kept a team under 3 goals in a game once this season (Winnipeg).

Basically the Canucks fans got all excited because they lit up Ottawa.

He would have because in order for some of these secondary guys (Simmonds, Toffoli, Anderson) to succeed, you need to create a critical mass of offense.

The Leafs had enough offense to begin with and Simmonds is just gravy, there’s no pressure on a Simmonds to produce. The Habs probably had enough offense with one of Toffoli and Anderson but adding both pushed them over.

The Flames aren’t there, if we had brought any ONE of those guys in, the pressure would be on them to actually produce like primary scorers and they wouldn’t be able to. Maybe if they brought in both without subtracting from the forward core group, it might have worked.

I bet Flames management was hoping that Dube and Mangiapane would have taken that next step to create that secondary offensive push but it just hasn’t happened yet.

Final scores

It was a repeat/deja vu game in the Sharks-Ducks game.Just like Friday's game, the Sharks led 1-0 after the 1st period, the Ducks tied it in the 2nd period, both teams couldn't score on the PP again, and it also went to the SO. The shots were similar and both goalies played well. The main difference was the Ducks won this time.

The Islanders were down a goal heading into the 3rd period and came back to win 4-3 in reg time. Anders Lee scored the GWG on the PP with less than 3 minutes in the 3rd period with Blueger in the penalty box for a delay of game minor. There were only 3 penalties called.

The Coyotes beat the Blues 3-1 in game 3 of a 4 game series. Arizona leads the series 2-1 with the final game on Monday. the Blues couldn't score on the PP and haven't in this series going 0/13. Chychrun scored 2 goals.

The Habs win with Jake Allen in net as he made 34 saves. The Senators wore their inverted retro jerseys, not bad. LOL to the Canucks, that was a tire fire. The glare and stare from Holtby to JT Miller showed the mess the Canucks are in as they lose by 4 goals again, this time 5-1.
