Trade doesn't really make sense. The last thing we need is another bubble d-man. Best part of the deal for the Flames is the 3rd round pick.

Sam Bennett has never been as good as some on this board have acted.
He’s the exact same player he was when he came into the league, minus some explosiveness.
Every single game he gets to play an offensive role with good players, he takes a stupid stick infraction 180 feet from his net. Every single game.
He’s not a core piece and he’s barely a nice to have piece. He’s a frustrating player, and the return (or lack there of) reflects that.
