That was just frustration to watch, but...so typical of the Flames.

Flames got what they deserve. Too many passengers. Too many bonehead plays by players that should know better.
Pathetic first period kills them.
Good news is the way the Flames are playing Montréal should beat them about 17-1.

Muzzin fires the puck at Tkachuk after the whistle. What I didn't like... no other Flames got heated by it and went after any Leafs. They let it slide.

At least the Flames still have yet to lose by more than a goal

Deeply concerned about this team. Very basic things this coaching staff is failing to do, most especially not having any interest in matching lines on home. It is inexcusable and glaringly deficient. We are in for yet another very mediocre Calgary Flames hockey team.

Their first line out competed our first line.
And what the heck is going on with Backlund. Just terrible.

Leafs and Oilers fans will find a way to make Tkachuk the bad guy out of that incident.

Flames deserved to lose.
- you can’t start playing in the 2nd period, same old story with this team
- Mikael Backlund was absolute garbage tonight. One of the worst games I’ve seen him play in a long time.
- Did Tkachuk/Lindholm do anything tonight?
- Jake Muzzin is a puke, and the fact that no one else reacted and backed Tkachuk up is pathetic
- Early season hope/belief in this team is fading. I think their breakout strategy is poor, and their 5 on 5 hockey is far too passive

Thought Mangiapane and Backlund also had poor showings tonight along with other usual do nothings like Bennett.

Backlund was frigin garbage. Probably why he wasn't on the pp.
Now we get the great Canadian media circle jerk for Canada's team. Ffs.

Tkachuk was one of the best forwards tonight.

I'm not a big Ward basher but man there were some really terrible decisions made out there tonight.
Not sure why he keeps throwing the Lucic/Backlund/Bennett out there when they clearly looked terrible, including at the end of the game, along with Leivo. Surely there had to be better choices left on the bench.
Waste of a comeback. I actually think getting away from home will help this team, ever since the big break they've been off. Need to find their game, including actually starting the game on time. Can't mail in the 1st period and expect to win.

There's still some potential for improvement in the current roster with guys like Tanev, Valimaki, Simon etc. playing key roles and still being new to the team. Even so, it seems to me there's room for some young prospects to step in already to be given a chance.
Also, this team misses Dube.

Deserved better...Leafs capitalized on pretty much every chance.
