Couldn't come up with Niemi
And couldn't come up with Moog. Which really pisses me off.

42. Should've been way better..I had the 80s & 90s almost cleared, but somehow couldn't remember a few names from this past decade haha. WTF??
You know it's the offseason and in pure football mode right now when I can't remember current players..

I was a big fan of that team because you-know-who just had been traded there.

40/54. I wasn't alive anywhere near when he played, but I'm embarrassed that I somehow forgot Ken Dryden. Knew there was a guy who won like a million cups in the 70s and his name almost came to me several times, but time ran out. :P

I missed Vachon, Pietrangelo and Johnston. Worsely was a lucky guess.

I had a brain freeze on a few recent ones: Holtby and Murray... just couldn't think of them.
I never associate Andy Moog as an Oiler, I did guess Eddie Mio knowing it was wrong.
Frank Pietrangelo? I just assumed that it was a mistake as I already had Tommy Barrasso.
Then the years before I was born: Bernie Parent, Eddie Johnston, Rogie Vachon, and Gump Worsley (who I think of as a Leaf).
Speaking of which, kinda funny how they started the list at 1968

It's weird -- it took me forever to remember Corey Crawford (I could visualize his face and even his number, but not the name). Getting old sucks.
How many "losing" goalies do you remember? It's more of an eclectic list to be sure -- perhaps that makes them easier to remember. To give you a hint, I added the teams as well:
2020 - DAL
2019 - BOS
2018 - VGK
2017 - NAS
2016 - SJ

2013 - BOS
2012 - NJ
2011 - VAN
2010 - PHI
2009 - DET
2008 - PIT
2007 - OTT

I wrote in Roy, Smith, Fuhr, and the two Cgy goalies and it got me about halfway there.
Figured that would cover it.

As you get older...there is more to remember.
That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

Unofficial answers:
(Note: these aren't necessarily who lost in the final game; in some cases multiple goalies may have played during the playoffs and/or finals. Also, some of these are just based on memory so if they're wrong feel free to post any corrections/additions)
Scoring generously, I got out 41 of 52.

Lol, is it sad that I got 54/54? I should have had more hobbies growing up. Thank god I eventually found music and skateboarding...

I couldn't think of Matt Murray's friggin' name. I could see his stupid skinny face, but couldn't remember his generic name. So pissed.
Also pissed that I couldn't remember Bernie Parent. Pretty memorable goalie, but I just couldn't place him.
I'm not going to sweat missing the couple that happened a decade before I was even born.

I got everything back to 1972 except for the 1984 Oilers goalie. Apparently Andy Moog was their goalie for that run? Was never going to get that.
