He was the youngest player in the NCAA last year and is still eligible to play in the 2022 WJC.

That was a good showing by Germany; it's great that they were able to make this a competitive game.
Does anyone have any idea why seemingly everyone on the TSN broadcast crew hates Yaroslav Askerov so much? It's weird.

Link is English for me. The language toggle is top right of the screen on the banner (to the right of the twitter, Facebook and Instagram icons). Look for EN.

No. There is clearly more to it than that. The broadcast had lots of praise for other Russians like Podkolzin, Amirov and Kuznetsov...
...
... and maybe I just answered my own question by listing off a group of players drafted by Canadian NHL teams. Carry on.

Who’s doing the color commentary in the Sweden - Finland game. Dude is coming up with a million excuses for Broberg’s poor showing in the tournament. He sounds like he must be on the Oilers payroll.

It's a game-time decision, I believe.

Overall, I'd say I'm pretty excited about Kuznetsov after watching him a bunch this WJC. He seems like he has a chance to be a steady, intelligent defender with a simple game, who can eat minutes and be physical. I like that. He's never gonna be spectacular, but I believe he could help the team be lower event and reduce its goals against.
Its also exciting to think that we can watch him at the WJC again next year. Two WJCs will help his development.

Fins have it all tied up at 2-2. This game has really come alive.
Edit: maybe not, offside?

I think that might have been a blown call, I thought he brought the puck across the blueline initially and then made the lateral move along the blue without bringing the puck back out. If so, when the puck crosses the blueline again doesn't matter if the first entry was good (and it looked good from the one angle).
Of course TSN only showed the 2nd entry on the replay.

Hard to say from the live angle, but this is when the puck actually crossed the blueline. It didn't look like the puck every exited the zone when he made the lateral move along the blueline so it was still onside at that point.
Hmm, it's almost impossible to tell from the angles available. I'm not sure he brought the puck in initially after all from this angle, but the angle doesn't show it well and his stick blocks the view of the puck.
