He has played a little over 10 mins in each of the first three games. I would guess that despite how the practice lines appear he will continue to get his shifts tomorrow and in the medal rounds.

He is 13th in icetime from the link sureloss posted. So I guess technically he is 13th forward but relatively even amongst the bottom forwards.

Guess we’ll see what happens when the competition stiffens. I wouldn’t expect the icetime to be distributed quite so evenly.

That's a pretty great goal by Stutzle. 2-0 for Germany.

Germany is looking pretty darn good. They are going to be a tough out in the quarters. Stutzle's goal was unreal. That ones going to be on the highlights for years.

Peterka looks really good as well. His game looks like it could really transfer to the NHL.

IMO Ferraro nailed it on the broadcast — Stutzle's goal was way offside.

Stutzle looks unreal. He could be better than Draisatl.

Why do you think it was offside?

He lost control of the puck before it entered the zone and didn't get it back until he was basically right in front of the net.

You can make the argument that he meant to do it that way — that doesn't change that fact that, in doing so, he lost possession.

Bounced off the defender's skate too. Not sure it's a controlled entry when there's a defender in the way and you don't touch it till it's almost in the crease.

Draisatl is one of the best players in the NHL right now. Yes, could be.

I just saw it again, and it sure looks like the puck is still on his stick when it is crossing the blueline. Even if it left his stick it was within a fraction of a second and at most a couple centimetres.

I still think it was a good goal. If he ever "lost control" of the puck (I don't think he did) it was not until after it was well within the zone.

He didn't touch the puck from before he entered the zone for roughly 30 feet, until he recovered it again in front of the Swiss goalie. He chipped it behind the Swiss defender before the puck crossed the blueline.

It's offside by the wording of the IIHF's offside rule, which says the puck has to be on the attacker's stick as it crosses the line.

I need to see it again, because in the replays I have seen it looks like he still has the puck on his stick as it crosses the line.

He's at least two feet offside. If you use the NHL's interpretation of control it might be debatable.

What the Germans have been able to do this year is nothing short of remarkable.

From getting completely hosed by the Oilers which ended up with them getting relegated, to placing 3rd in the pool and making the quarters for the first time ever.

Good on you, Germany.

Pretty surprising that the Swiss lost all 4 games and end up in the relegation playoff.
