Hopefully a temporary condition, I suspect covid, but, hopeful of full recovery. 'Hawks now down their top 2 centers, and probably will have to use Strome on the top line, and move Soderberg up to #2C. Expecting the plumber, Kampf up to #3, and one of the wingers, Shaw(if healthy), Smith, or, most likely, Carpenter to slot in at #4C to start.,

Even without a specific diagnosis a doctor will clearly be able to see that something is wrong if Toews is too sick to train or play.

These days it could potentially be Covid and he could be a long hauler like they say. I have zero knowledge but given the indefinitely part of the statement and the fact that the season starts in 2 weeks, I am leaning more towards something like type 1 diabetes or something like a heart arrhythmia.

I suspect something was caught during a routine physical and it's something that more research with specialists may be required given the statement.

Either way, best of luck

Another thing to consider it could be a thyroid problem.

You just know that the Hawks are going to suck in this shortened season and drop into that #1 draft pick, just in time to replace Toews and Kane.

Could it be mononucleosis?

Not if Edmonton gets there first.

He's a heck of a player and a heck of a person. The message he posted on instagram during the George Floyd protests was a 5-star post.

Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

This is really on my mind at the moment because pro Wrestler Brodie Lee/Luke Harper recently missed time with a mysterious illness. In October, he had similar symptoms to Toews and he passed away December 26.

I really hope Toews is alright.

Got it on pretty good authority that it’s Lyme disease.

if it is Lyme disease, his career could be over. Hopefully it isn't that bad because it can really mess you up for life. I hope he can get ahead of it and he can receive proper treatment.
