Out four-five months, ie the entire season, for an exhibition tournament against lesser players. Yeah, great decision. I don't really care what Burke says, his argument was probably centered on "being around the guys/leadership" or "riding the bike and working out" or some garbage. This was a boneheaded decision and now Dach's development is hampered and the Blackhawks, the team that's paying him, don't get him for a whole season. All around disaster, bad decision for very little upside. I don't expect fans to see that since everyone is blinded by how popular this tournament is for some reason, especially this season, but most working GM's are smart enough to realize you don't send top NHL ready guys to this tourney. If I'm Chicago's owner I'm throwing a #### fit right now, and if I'm the Rangers GM I'm patting myself on the back for looking good by comparison just by making a no brainer decision.
