I know what you mean, but I don't believe he'd choose an ~800k backup role in Toronto over a ~1M+ role in Edmonton where he'd have the opportunity to be the starter.

I could be wrong though. It happened once before.

Maybe the Late are still trying g to trade Andersen and you g to go with a Campbell/Dell tandem.

1. I'm not sure how smart that would be.
2. Not sure any team even wants to trade for Andersen.
3. If one of those goalies got injured the Leafs would have no 3rd string g NHL level goalie.

But it would certainly solve the cap problem.
