Quine would play good for a game or two then disappear

Darn.

But I do think he deserves a chance to be a full time player. It's a shame to me that we couldn't utilize him more. When he does work his way into the line-up, he always seems to play well.

I am sad to see him go, as he was a capable fill in here and there, BUT....I think that's what is missing in most people's comments here. He is passable to slot in here or there, when needed. Instead though, he's likely going to be a regular on the Oilers. What does he look like playing every night? I'm not so sure.

Because on a one way he probably doesn't make the team. Rather keep Reider for the same price.

He was a free agent. He could pick where he wanted to go. In 2 seasons in Calgary he wasn't a full time NHLer so his conclusion would be he wasn't going to get that here. He's likely looking for that opportunity elsewhere.

My brother will not like this. He was big on Quine being the 4th line C in CGY

Let’s put it this way - if you sign with Edmonton at $750K it means that literally no other team wanted you.

This is the type of player that the Oilers attract, fringe NHLers hoping to get a permanent roster spot.

Always seemed like he was able to create offence. I remember one game he had a brutal turn over 2 seasons ago and that seemed to of sealed his fate. Guess that makes him a perfect Oiler though theyre more accepting of that...

Very meh. I would wish him well but nah. I would rather play Gawdin than him this season.

Same goes for Buddy though, would rather have brought up a younger guy.

This shows we're growing as an organization, Gawdin, Phillips, and Ruzicka are ready to earn their stripes.

I always wondered why he didn’t get a longer look. He will probably get some first line time in greaserville and put some crazy good stats...just so he gets a massive amount mid season just like Kassian.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.
