Glad the Flames moved on (at that salary.) Good for Talbot, though.

Glad we didn't offer that kind of term or money.
Good luck to Cam. You had a great playoff run, so thanks for that.

Good for him. Kind of an in between contract, for an in between goalie.
Expensive for a backup, cheap for a starter. Thing is, you need another good goalie if Talbot is your guy.

Letting go a 33yo borderline starting goalie is going to make us regret it?
There’s no way.
Good for him but I’m glad it isn’t here.
Everyone forgets how good Rittich played when he wasn’t injured.
I’d take Rittich over Talbot all day, throw in Markstrom and we are set in net!

I would not be pleased if the Flames signed him to that contract.

I'm not convinced Rittich is what you want in a backup. If Markstrom gets signed, I'd be in favor of moving Rittich and signing a veteran backup.

I doubt that. We usually regret losing some players but that term and money at his age....it might sting occasionally but letting him go was likely a solid call.
Good for Talbot, hopefully thats a good fit for him, but either way he'll finish his career with some cash.

As per Frank Seravelli flames were in the 3 year 2.75 million per range for Talbot.
