Maybe they could make a full face shield with a snorkel routed to vent 1ft over every player's head? Full HazMat suits? Put them all in separate rooms with a set of VR gear?

This is embarrassingly stupid. A body check is contact that only lasts an instant. Stick checks only in front of the net and on the boards? Gimme a break.

Faceoffs have two people right in close contact, breathing heavy for more 10-15 seconds in close proximity, then battle for a puck as it's dropped. Not to mention the linesman's breathing right there too.

Allow them to play, or don't.

I've advocated to hanging the definition of body checking in hockey, but this doesn't seem to be about that - it seems to be a rather arbitrary and poorly thought out way to manage COVID. So even for some like me that thinks checking needs to change - this seems rather dumb.
