No, not nearly as bad as they first thought. Matheson hit him directly from the front but caught his head, which is a penalty. It wasn't malicious, it was a hockey play that went bad. No need to throw the book at him.
Still, Islanders score on the powerplay. 2-0 over Panthers.
Not great defending on the PK. No pushback to move Beauvillier away from the top of the slot. Wide open to blast away.
This team has so much work to do to teach some actual defense. I don't give them much chance in this series.
