Yesterday's sunset southwest of Calgary . . . . from a few different time frames.

Early sunset

Late sunset . . .

I've never figured out why people go for Jordan's throat . . . . . until today.

Jordan, I was laying outside today on my deck couch, in sweats and a t-shirt, reading a book and trying to start drinking again with a beer . . . . and you want to shut the whole thing down!!???

You're crazy man.

Those are some fantastic shots... but still not enough for me to say "Yay! Chinook time!"

I dunno, if it's going to be a season... be a season... snow, be freezin' out.... Technically it's not winter yet and I obviously should know by now that weather in Calgary is just wonky. But I don't get very excited seeing the temps in the mid to upper teens when it should be gloves and a touque time.

Guess I'm kooky.

Thank you very much for those pictures, Cowperson. I just sent them to all my family and friends back on the east coast.

You must not be much of a skiier; the same weather formation that brings us Chinooks also dumps loads of snow on the Rockies. One of the best things about Calgary, in my opinion.

I'll agree with Jordon on the headaches...can't stand them. I seem to get colds around Chinook time.

But the break from cold weather with some +5 every once in a while? So what?

Who's the pu$$y? Someone who likes the cold weather, or someone who needs a "break" in the weather to survive a winter?

I know alot of people here dislike me for whatever reason.. but this was a pretty simple thread.

I suggest you read CP's rules

You CAN disagree with someone without personal attacks... even though in alot of cases I may deserve it. Still no excuse.

I.....agree ... with Jordon.

I love the winter. Here's why:

-Nothing beats evenings going to the outdoor rinks.
-I love taking my car to empty parking lots and doing power slides on the ice.
-I love the cozy feeling when the flakes are falling outside, especially around Christmas time when the lights are up on the houses. If I'm with the girlfriend its even more cozy...
-I'm a weather freak so I love blizzards!

I would say that Chinooks are a nice break sometime, if I wasn't such a car nut. Turns all the snow to slush and makes my car filthy!

My joints hurt when the weather changes. But I like the warm days for making sticky, hard-as-rock snowballs, and general, sick of freezing-ness.

Seriously, Jordan gets a lot worse said to him than what he dishes out in return. I say we all just leave him alone, whether you agree with him or not.

He meant 'twit' in a nice way, not a personal attack kind of way.

You know, it couldn't be a double-standard or anything.

If we want to get technical, he said 'a lot'... it wasn't directed at one person in particular, and therefore, not a 'personal' attack.
