How is Cale Hulse getting any votes?

Is he not in a group with guys like Anders Eriksson, Chris Butler, Matt Bartkowski, Bryan Marchment, David Hale, Wade Belak etc.?

His eyes are absolutely stunning though.

I thought Hulse put in solid efforts on most nights.

I'm waiting for the poster I-Hate-Hulse to chime in on this discussion. The rant should be epic.

Cale Hulse in my mind, is probably the worst player on the Flames who played multiple seasons and over 250 games, by a long long shot. Slow, always the 3rd d pair. Used more in commerical shoots and marketing picture then in games, and provided more value in a photograph than he did in the ice.

He was not useful in any situation, I recall the Flames had him dress as a forward. Why he was dressed at all was a head scratcher under Page, Hay and then Brian Sutter.

The absolute epitome, in player form, of the darkest age of the Flames history from 1996 to 2000 and all that it stood for and the depths it sunk to.

Cale Hulse's father has provided me with my most vivid Saddledome off-ice memory.

It was early in the 99-00 season versus the Kings. The Flames had started year 1-4, and the vibe around the team was already pretty despondent.

Hulse was having a particularly bad night, caught flat-footed and responsible for a couple of the goals against.

Someone muttered, "Come on, Hulse. You suck!" A few seconds later, a man dives into the row, grabbing the frustrated fan by the collar, trying to fight him. Popcorn and beer were flying everywhere.

We later found out it was 32's dad, who wanted to avenge his son's honour.

Had to go with Lydman (Loodman). I still remember how pissed I was when Sutter traded him away after the 03/04 season. If I remember correctly, wasn't Sutter pissed because he believed Lydman's injury was so bad and he thought he could have played in the playoffs?
