I think Terry Crisp's face when the players are celebrating on the ice really sums up that series from a Flames perspective.

The Canucks have never had presentable jerseys.

They were perfect halloween costumes for that time period.

Their home jerseys were yellow. Nobody on the planet has ever been afraid of a person dressed in yellow.

It's pretty common for cup champs and top end teams to have round one be the hardest. You have all the pressure and the other team has nothing to lose and just plays the game. After this series Calgary only lost 1 game in the next two rounds.

I was 8 years old at the time and remember this game and the Cup winning game vividly, but have no recollection the rest of playoffs. Another memory is attending game 1 or 2 against Chicago, since that was the first and only game I've ever attended with my dad.

Yep, mellow yellow it was. In the 94 series, their jerseys were white.

Uh no considering they won in those jerseys 5 years later. The jerseys from 97-98 onward are much better.

That sounds like the 2004 Flames team.

Sadly, McLean in 94 and Flaherty in 95 were both pretty unreal in Game 7 OT. I still think about McLean's save on Reichel and Flaherty stopping Zalapski with the knob of his stick.

The Flames have sure played a lot of Game 7 OTs. Who's played more since 1989? Washington maybe?

Game 7 in 95 we out shot them 60-30. Trevor Kidd=No good.

This is when I became a Flames fan.

Started out with disappointment, and pretty much stayed that way for 25 years

I was at that game. Every shot the sharks threw at Kidd you thought it was going to go in.

I didn't go to another Flames game after that for 10 years

I actually just did a deep dive into this game here: https://forum.calgarypuck.com/showpo...2&postcount=38

The knob save on ZZ was just insane and almost one in a million. Also, Ronnie Stern had about 3 golden chances to win that dam game in OT. Paul Kruse played like Kevin Stevens the entire game. It was a weird one and yep, still stings.

Lies, Slander, fake news.

For the record, the fact we are wearing the 90s jersey again and are legit talking about making it something regularly wear again makes me the happiest man alive. I bought one at the first chance last year.

It was all on Trevor Kidd! That was one of the worst goalie performances in the playoffs ever! I'm pretty sure the Flames set an NHL record with most goals in a 7 games series in this one.

What about the game 7s in 94 and 04?

It doesn't, just watch the 1994 and 2004 series and make sure you have oxygen tanks, a ventilator, and a defibrillator next to you.
