At Mitzi's they make them from scratch multiple times per day. They ain't your mom's tendies in your toaster oven.

do not scoff at the power of mitzi's chicken fingers, they are some kind of awesome. At that dipping sauce they have.

forgot about santa lucia - used to be great pie.

VJ's drive inn - small trailer type place on main street - they serve fat boys. also get the fried and chili. also have tums, you may need them

Jeannie's Bakery is where I bought a lot birthday cakes when we lived there. Previous frozen cakes you can buy here tastes awful. I vote for Baked Expectation for desserts. My favourite place for Chinese is North Garden near U of M, and many places on Corydon. Haven't been back for many years so my comment may not be most current.



Don't think we'll ever move back to Winnipeg from Calgary, but food and cultural scene is better there, IMO.
