Can’t win them all.

Terrible spot to put Rittich in. Threw him to the wolves. Hasn’t played in 3 games. Hasn’t won at home since early December. Yeah let’s throw him in against the second hottest team in the last month. Real smart Wardo.

Gotta move on and look forward.

Not ready to start the game, again. What else is new. Deflected puck but Rittich needs to be hugging the post.

That happens 100 times a game.

In before Deluxe Moustache stops by to tell us how good Rittich is.

He is no bueno. Time to just admit it. Cam’s net going forward.

Lindholm seems to be catching a bit of Monahanitis as well. Neither of them is working hard enough away from the puck. Both are excellent shooters, but they need to get in those corners and win those battles.

Great, they tied it up 3-3. But that's nothing, you need to keep it that way. Losing that critical tie can't be an option.

So then it happens. 4-3.

Where's the timeout? If I'm coaching a team, and they get scored on that late in the game -- next thing I do is call time! We know the team can come back, they just need some time to get focused.

But then the next thing we know, the game is over without any sort of setup in the offensive zone.

No timeout. Has Ward ever called a single one as Flames coach?

This is your 2020 Calgary Flames. They are not the worst team, but always give you the bad results. If not for Lucic, Eat Bread and Dube , plus the like of Tkachuk and Backlund, we will be out of the play off spot in a week.

That one really stings after tying it late like that.

It’s the right play, he’s getting his stick in a passing lane. Unfortunate outcome.

The Flames really struggled to make clean passes. I don't know if that's because Vegas shut them down well or what, but their ability to maintain possession was limited.

I really hated that with 40 seconds left they went to the dump and chase. Giving up possession and hoping to grind the puck away from a defender is a losing strategy. If you're going to do that, follow it up with at least two players on the puck. One on one, lose that battle, game's over.

Very fluky goal by Vegas, not much else to say. Great performance by Lucic in that game, a lot of people are wrong about him, he singlehandedly brought the Flames back into the game. The kind of hard hitting game that the Flames would have turtled in last year.
