Do I need to bring out the list of each team acquiring an impact player mid-season again?

The Flames are the sole outlier going on over eight years now and quite frankly it's getting really old

Seasons can be saved! Toffoli can be a core piece going forward

This team is stagnant. We are supposed to be coming into our prime and becoming contenders. But we are so far from that its not even funny.

I thought once the california teams started to regress we would take over yet we still crap the bed against them.

Big changes need to happen for this hockey club and it needs to happen soon

On the breakaway he gave up and half arsed tried to make a save because he was mad about the give away. Not saying the loss is on him but his attitude rubbed me the wrong way. Oh and the entire team has no balls.

The MacDermid goal (LA's 3rd) was probably one he'd want back, though I don't blame him for the loss. This team is just poorly coached and flawed in its construction.

Literally what is the point in trying to make the Playoffs this year?

The team doesn't care, Ward is an absolute trash coach, and the Flames have almost a zero percent chance to make any noise in the Playoffs if they are lucky enough to get there.

Joke team. Joke coach.

To think I'm sitting here at a hotel in Tampa looking forward to going to watch them play the Lightning and Panthers on back-to-back nights at the end of the month.

Pathetic team

Just soul crushing mediocrity emanating from every aspect of this organization.

When will it ever end?

Monahan’s battle level was a joke tonight, this is a classic Flames faceplant after a little bit of hope...awful loss.

He couldn’t see that shot at all.

Overplaying the puck wasn’t the only thing he learned from Smitty

Petersen not given enough credit tonight IMO. A lot of times saves looked easy because he made it so, by being positionally sound, quiet and economical in his moves, and there were no rebounds, like with Dell and Markstrom.

Yeah, but Toffoli isn’t the answer in my eyes.

I’m 100% on-board with your being critical of how conservative the Flames have been (...especially because they’ve been so bad), but a move just to make a move isn’t the right way to go.

Keep your assets this year. Maybe gain some by selling off some pieces, and then get really friggin’ aggressive this summer.

Flames will figure it out...or they won’t. Either way, should be a fun last quarter of the year.

Flames are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.

Liked Johnny's effort a lot. Rittich was good. After that a whole bunch of 'meh' mixed in with some brutal defensive plays. And it would be nice to score on a 5-on-3 once every 10 years. Not good enough for this time of year. At this point you just hope they can make the playoffs and make some noise, but realistically this team is just not consistently good and we will see some major changes in the summer.
