Any playlist that includes Blinded by the Light is wrong. Is Patio Lanterns up next?

The focus in here on the fact that music is being played at practice is the perfect example of why fan opinions shouldn't be taken seriously. Some how the fact that music is being played is galvanizing everyone in here to suggest that the coaches, players and management think that music is the answer.................... we make our selves seem so dumb sometimes.

Nobody thinks that. They are just getting their shots in due to frustration because the team sucks. You can't honestly believe anyone has come to this conclusion....

I listened to Ward last night. He appeared to be desirous of putting the blame entirely on the team.

Newsflash - sometimes, just working harder isn't the answer, especially if you don't know what to work harder at.

And why hasn't the coaching staff developed a method to react when the opposition sends 2 or 3 forecheckers in. It is like they only have an answer for 1 forechecker. Anything more and we get the running around in circles technique. And to me, that is a sign they don't know what to do.

As much as I hate another coach, I have come to believe that instead of the "bright" new coach, I think Tre should be looking for a coach that can coach this team. And with the years of reporting to a head coach, Ward is struggling with in-game decisions.

I don't know. I've had the occasional sickness (non hangover related) that after a day of puking and sleep, I was ok.
mild food poisoning, maybe? but it does happen.

They should be playing the Charlie Brown theme song or Yakety Sax to highlight the gongshow defensive effort they've been putting up over the past few games.

I think they need somebody that has an actual NHL resume that they respect. The common denominator between all these coaches is they are rookies or have had little success. If we could get a big name in here that provides the leadership missing from this group who is tough but fair and will hold guys accountable.... I think we will see more consistency. Its hard to take someone serious that's never had any real success no matter how nice they are (they also need personel moves there is more than one issue going on here).

Couldn't have said it more perfect.

If you can't win when you're at your worse, then you're not that good in the first place. I'm so sick and tired with coaches talking about desperation and working harder and putting on your work boots etc etc. On paper this is supposed to be a skilled team so why can't we deploy a system to utilize this. I can accept losing when you get outworked but when you get out-skilled, out-coached, that's a problem.

Also, Dube needs to get sent down to develop some more. Bring back Czarnik and let him play for his contract. Secondly, put Janko back in instead of Rieder.

Until this team has consistent success, I'll always be skeptical. Treliving keeps hanging his hat on the team being best in the conference last season which is short sighted because it's one season and there has not been a trend of that consistency. I'm baffled why a GM, a leader of a club doesn't look at data and trends. So many people on CP has said that the team has been trending downwards, so many have seen and lived with this mediocrity for years and aren't surprised. I get that we can forgive the deficiencies when you are winning, similar to Kipper masking how bad we were because of being a superman goalie. But something needs to be changed and it starts at the top.

Dube hasn't been effective and doesn't have to clear waivers. Rinaldo won't get claimed if sent down. Janko is trade bait and may get claimed on waivers if sent down.

FYP.

Flames need to play faster. Lucic can't do it, but seeing how unlikely that is (hello Milan Brouwer)

Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Mangiapane - Bennett - Tkachuk
Dube - Backlund - Rieder
Lucic - Ryan - Rinaldo

I'm really not understanding why we're staying with the same top-6 forward lines YET AGAIN. It hasn't been working for awhile now and we're not winning games.

Now is the time to tinker and experiment. I see no evidence that the current lines are going to magically start clicking.

I actually don’t mind the music. It might loosen them up a bit, take a bit of the depression off the team. I wonder why they stopped in the first place because they went on a nice winning streak when it was started. That said, Ward’s lineup is definitely puzzling. Buddy Robinson should not have multiple games in the top 6. Monahan and Gaudreau should try some time apart. Reider should only be in the lineup as an injury replacement. Rasmus should have a shot to be on the top pairing. I don’t think I’ve ever been less interested in a Vancouver/Calgary game in a long time. I expect a thorough thumping tomorrow.

I'm here in Vancouver - Anyone know what hotel the team stays at? I've got some musical selections.
