RIP, just terrible news. Far too young, such a legend.

Looking for confirmation on this but if it's true... so horrible.

The initial report I saw only said that his WIFE wasn't with him...didn't say a thing about his children...

There's also reports Rick Fox was on board as well. It's the social media age, there will be a lot of false reporting so until anything is confirmed we just don't know.

was never a Lakers fan, but loved to watch him play... i remember watching his last game where he went off for 60...just seemed to be a guy that lived such a charmed life...

his youngest daughter is only a few months old, so she surely would stay with her mother (who's confirmed to not being on board). Reports say 5 casualties, so pilot + Kobe + three oldest daughters would be possible. Just hoping it's not the case.
still in disbelief. Just terrible, terrible stuff all around.

Pretty dangerous reporting by ABC which said on TV that his daughters were "believed" to be on the plane, even when nobody else was reporting it. Now it doesn't look like any of that was true. SCD is 100% correct.

Unbelievable. Sporting world lost an icon today, not just basketball.

ABC the only ones reporting the daughters including the newborn. That's some bad bad reporting if it isnt true. Like massive lawsuit kind of bad.

TMZ now confirms that his 13-year-old daughter was on board. Dear god.

Watching the Raptors pregame, these guys really don't want to play right now. Should call off the game.

It would seem like the right thing to do.

Just read another player from his daughters team and her father were likely onboard.
Those 4 plus pilot would make sense.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski. I don't know my basketball pundits, so hopefully he's a credible source.

I don't think you can cancel all NBA games because a former player died...have a moment of silence, show must go on
