That's gotta suck for him personally. This year was critical I think for him to show he belongs in the NHL full-time after this contract.

I personally think he has a lot to offer. It's a shame he will need to be held out for a while, and possibly not 100% immediately after coming back.

Even if it looked like he would be rehabilitated after 5 or 6 games, it makes sense to put him on LTIR for cap reasons. This move, and replacing him with Quine, makes up approximately 75K in cap space, if it is claimed by the team.

Christmas isn’t good, but could be a whole lot worse too. Biggest shame is that he is a guy who needs to find a groove in the NHL. Some veterans would come back stronger after a break.

That's brutal for Czarnik. In a season where a bunch of the top players are having a slow start, he really seemed to push to want to move up the lineup. Out till December freakin' sucks

Last night I remember someone on the panel saying it was a high ankle sprain, tough break as Czarnik was starting to click.
