Monahan, Gaudreau, Lindholm, Giordano, Brodie, Hanifin, Hamonic all sit. Recall Valimaki and Dube the usual way, emergency recall Graovac and Foo/Robinson.
You forgot about Backlund and Tkachuk. At least one of those guys will likely sit that game out as well.

Whats funny is I think we'd still beat them with their all star lineup

Yeah that roster still beats Edmonton.

Doc would open a can of whoop-ass on the non nhl depth of the McFore!s.

I had thought we'd see Stone in the playoffs but given he hasn't cracked the lineup I'm doubting it.

I think if they play two rounds we will definitely see Stone.

Honest question, are we allow to dress all those AHL players? If we are, I'd dress some tough guys, when Oilers try to pull something dirty, beat the crap out of them.

I think so, as long as the Flames come up with a reason to sit Gaudreau/Monahan/Lindholm/Tkachuk/Backlund. Perhaps "load management," to take a page from Kawhi Leonard. If those guys all sat then the Flames would only have 10 playable forwards (Neal, Ryan, Frolik, Bennett, Jankowski, Hathaway, Dube -- assuming he's recalled, Quine, Czarnik, and Mangiapane) and would be able to recall two more.

Buddy Robinson, who I have kinda/sorta pencilled in there on the fourth line, is 6'6". They made a two-year commitment to him in the summer and he's played well for Stockton, so I think they might want to see what he's made of in the big leagues.

Tyler Graovac is 6'5". He's also played well in Stockton and has NHL experience, including most of a full season.

Neither of those guys are fighters but they both have size.

If you're looking for tougher guys, well, Anthony Peluso is out for the year with an injury. Kerby Rychel is, too. Ryan Lomberg... yeah, well, I don't think they need to see more from him.

After them, you're left with:

- Spencer Foo, who's pretty normal-sized at 6'0". He's had a decent year but nothing spectacular.
- Curtis Lazar, who's the same size as Foo. He's been pretty okay at the AHL level and I wouldn't be opposed to giving him one more look.
- Glenn Gawdin, who's only slightly taller than Foo and Lazar. He'll be back next year and there's no real need to rush him, I don't think.
- Matthew Phillips, who is tiny (but very good).

And at that point you're out of guys worth recalling.

My guess would be they recall Valimaki and Dube to round out the real recalls. Then, I'd say they emergency recall two guys. I think Graovac will be one of them and I'd guess either Robinson or Foo for the other. Maybe Lazar.

Thanks Scorp, I kinda have a feeling Oilers gonna pull something dirty.

It would be cool to see Scott Sabourin signed, he's a fan favorite down there in Stockton, a real fire cracker!

Here's some video.

Who would be surprised to see McGoon with another flying elbow?

To keep everyone sharp. If not, the game prior is on the 3rd, and playoffs are rumored to start on the 11th.
Seven days off for key players is too much, not unlike the bye week. Team came from that slow

Finishing on the 6th already gives them a 5 day break.

Really pleased with the power play units now. Before these ones, we had all 5 of our best players on one unit and it just wasn't working. I know it works on other teams, but our team has always been better our lines are being distributed evenly. In the power play's case, we needed some quality players playing on the second unit.

With the chemistry we saw in Brodie and Stone in 16/17, I wouldn't be shocked to see in the playoffs:

Giordano - Andersson
Hanifin - Hamonic
Brodie - Stone

*With Brodie taking some shifts with Giordano too.

The difference is that the coaches can practice them as much as they like. During the CBA/all-star break teams were not allowed to practice.

Not just the Oiler goons. LA and Anaheim Mon/Wed aren't exactly Christmas card exchangers with us, and they are bigger heavy teams to start with.

I would almost be inclined to have more guys sit this week in SoCal and have a 5 day break, then get back at home and get a game in vs the Oilers before having another 5 day break.

If Gaudreau's sitting at 99 points before game 82 you should pencil him into the lineup.

Hopefully he gets it before than however.
