Given her attitude towards waitstaff, if that's all that staff that are familiar with her are doing to her food before service, I'd be surprised.

I don't get it. He delivered the food, held back the salsa and then when he got his .89cent tip, he went back and gave the testy salsa to the customer?

That's fair. I assume the refund was for salsa only.

Seriously? why would anyone put a small tip like that on there? Actually why would anyone tip before the food was delivered? What if it came 2 hours late? Strange way to do it.

What if the guy gave him $5 cash at the door.

I hate the pre-tip thing. What if the guy is super slow? What if he is slow because I decide to tip cash after he arrives? What if he thinks me not tipping at the start results in a nut dunk, and I tip him cash after but still get ball sauce? It's all so complicated...

these are general questions I want answered as well. I get anxiety about delivery services with pre-tip, because it feels like rather than rewarding a good experience, you're paying testicle protection money.

One of the best comedy skits that I ever saw was a couple ordering from skip the dishes. The order shows up and its not quite right, so the delivery guy orders the right food from skip the dishes, and eventually the front lawn is packed with skip the dishes drivers.

I'm given to understand (I don't use Skip myself) that this is a cause of concern and a problem as if the driver doesn't feel you've tipped enough, you get the 'back of the line', etc. I've heard from users that they feel it's more a "driver bribe fee" now, and you better hope that you do it better/pay more than the others on that run.
