Power Rankings are for fans of teams that are not in first place to feel like they have a first place team.
Fans of teams that are actually in first place should disregard. Only the Oilers would raise a power rankings banner.

To be honest, the only time Power Rankings are entertaining is when they are controversial. If they just replicate the reality or even the current standings, then who cares.
Personally I don’t care about power rankings - they don’t matter - it only matters if your team makes the playoffs and wins the Stanley cup. If some nimrod writer in the east wants Boston to be higher than the Flames, I don’t care.
If the power rankings determine who gets into playoffs and at what seed - totally different story.

You would have certainly nodded in agreement with the majority of NHL players (today Athletic article) who found Winnipeg the NHL's worst city to visit. It should be noted Edmonton also made the worst list.
