I would think so

Personally I wouldn't make that trade. Mangiapane is going to be a good player for a long time.

To be clear they said on TSN that the Rangers are hoping for a better prospect than Lemieux and the deal hasn't been finalized yet. So the prospect could change.

I wouldn't have wanted to do a 1st and Mangiapane. I know a lot of people would disagree, especially in light of the draft pick value curves that show a late 1st round pick is worth not much more than a 2nd round pick or a 3rd round pick. But the Flames also don't have a 2nd round pick and they didn't pick in the 1st round last year.

If you're just looking at UFAs, ya basically him and Simmonds.

But non-UFAs from non playoff teams could also pop up randomly today, so who knows.

This potential WPG-NYR deal is WPG 2019 first-round pick, Brendan Lemieux and a conditional pick in exchange for Kevin Hayes. Believe an agreement is in place but trade call not set yet.
