He's just driving up the price for SJ, just like he's doing for WIN with Stone.

Awesome

He is absolutely what we need in the bottom 6.

I don't see this as an alternative to Stone. I think we can do both if the pieces fit.

185 pounds and old. He’s lost a step as well. Not a fit in this team, and pushes guys who can play out of the lineup.

the guy scores and unlike hayes and some of the other plan b guys he shoots right which means he can play RW on the backlund line and we can leave tkachuk on the LW and Lindholm on the top line where he's been frankly killing it. also unnngg those goals..

LOL....hes 30 years old for god sake.

The team needs some veteran playoff experience as well.

I think he would fit nicely.

As for pushing guys out...who? Mangiapane? Oh well.

Also there is this thing called injuries that happens every year to almost ecery team.

30 hard years it seems like. I just don’t think he moves the needle on this team.

James Neal is 31, and he's already lost a step but who knows, he mayu bring it back in the playoffs. BT has made these moves with Brouwer and Neal. 27 points in 61 games, sure he may be better than Neal atm but I rather not trade away assets for a rental. I rather us not make a move than trade for Simmonds.

Simmonds slots in ahead of Czarnik, Hathaway and Mangiapane every game.

He is also slotting ahead of Neal on many nights as well.

The cost won't be much. He adds an element we don't have.

Get it done.

Probably meant that if Philly feels like they need Simmonds to make the playoffs then they don't move him.

Simmonds has way better possession stats than Hayes, he plays a position where the flames have a greater need at rw and he brings a physical element they'll need if they plays the sharts in the second round. If he costs less than a 1st great add. Adding a rw who can play in the top 6 should take priority over a 3rd line centre.

Good that the Flames are being linked to everyone. Don’t want the Rangers or Sens to think all of our eggs are in one-two baskets.

All depends on the cost, I wouldn't want to give up a lot for him, but for sure he would be an OK addition.

You know what, if it doesnt cost a 1st, I'd be down.

2nd+Descent prospect (Mangiapane,Phillips,) or even if they wanted Czarnik
