Has Neal actually lost 21 teeth over his career? That's insane.
Hope he pots one tonight.

Expect a strong Flames tonight. Another overtime, perhaps.

Last year I was commissioned to do a 2004 Tampa Bay Lecavalier jersey, with Cup patch. It was a heartbreaking job. And as a Flames fan, I felt it was my duty to write this on the back of the alternate captain 'A' (spoiler tags for size), so the truth of the Flames victory will live forever, on this particular jersey anyway.

And that is what has been happening against the Flames for the last couple of months as well. You can see that many teams are bringing their A games when they play the Flames now. They see it as a measuring stick game to see how they stack up against one of the top contenders.
And the Flames have continued to win.

It's interesting if you step back and consider how dominating the Flames have played for the majority of the season (after the Pittsburgh massacre) as a team, which has boosted them up to 2nd overall (until last night) and then observe the concern and cautious optimism by Flames fans on their team. Not sure if this is due to decades of disappointment or if Flames fans (and the media that covers the team) are truly just a more balanced, humble bunch. Contrast this with the Oilers, their fans and their beat reporters - 6th last in the entire league and only 6 points clear of last place, yet it wasn't long ago when their media and fans were signaling a turnaround and that their since fired GM deserved more credit and knew better all along.

Struggling Flames roll into Tampa Bay... I'm hoping we avoid a 1W-3L record after the all-star break.

I don't think "struggling" is the right adjective to use here. The Flames have been dominant for three straight games, and have run into hot goalies and bad luck in their last two.

Hopefully he waited until Rogers place was built, so he only has to go once.
