DP for a game is fine.
See how Hamonic is after getting home. Saves some cap room too, calling up a guy Tuesday or Wed as opposed to today if Hamonic can’t go.

I actually didn't think Prout was too bad last game, so I'd for sure give him a try before any AHL call up for tomorrow's game.

Sucks about Lindholm and Jankowski. Hope it's just a maintenance thing.

Im sure Prout will get to play even with the call up as he plays the right side while Valiev is a lefty.

Kylington-Prout as a pair have remarkably better underlying numbers than Kylington-Andersson despite similar deployment.

Very small sample size though, so probably not all that statistically relevant yet.

I ####ing hate the Caps. Look what they did to our roster.

What are the playoffs going to to do to this team?

Flames need a Tom Wilson of their own. I think I like the Maroon idea now.

Well you said that the Flames lack of size was exposed and there can be consequences like injuries because of that. Hamonic was the only Flames who got injured in the “big boy” game, so I was wondering if it was his lack of size that was exposed and led to the consequence which was an injury.

It was a strange game due to the way the refs called it. The physicality and the calls weren't characteristic of a regular season game and the in-game inconsistency didn't have two teams playing the same game. Washington's game was representative of how a tough playoff team can play, but the game as a whole wasn't representative of how the Flames would likely look in a series against that type of team.

Still, would be nice to have Ferland for that type of game..

AOM has played well in Stockton, wouldn't mind seeing him get a look.

I just don't think the addition of one guy at the deadline changes the mosaic of the team and somehow makes the Flames play bigger and tougher. Capitals have been constructed and coached to play that way and it took a number of years and playoff heartbreaks to become what they are. Thats why I'd chalk up their game to experience. Caps have been through the ringer so they know what they have to do to beat teams like the Flames.

Caps are so big, tough, and awesome they have one win in eight games

Lets not go crazy about one loss (that was largely on the goal tending)

Bad luck and not playing for 10 days has a lot more to do with injuries then them being a bigger team. It's not like we got manhandled out there or backed down from scrums.
