Such good news...certainly changes things for BT looking at the TDL as well.

He's skating with Stone Indicating the injury is not all that serious. No time line though.

Pat Steinberg ✔
@Fan960Steinberg

Travis Hamonic is skating with Michael Stone prior to practice at the Saddledome this morning.

Hamonic missed Sunday’s game in Carolina with a lower body injury, but initial word was nothing serious. Another positive indicator with him skating today. #Flames

Even if Hamonic is healthy, i'd still sit him for the Sharks game, which could get nasty. I'd like to see Prout in there to beat up some Sharks.

So it is good he is skating, but with him skating with Stone, would that not indicate he is probably still not able to go for the SJ game? I was hoping he would be back for that game.

Still 2 days to go, see how the knee reacts but more than likely he sits Thursday out would be my guess.

Or...

If it were anyone other than SJ on Thursday, I would say give him more time regardless of how he feels.

Possibly the biggest game of the stretch drive however. Either a 4 or 8 point division lead if it ends in regulation (pending the outcome of their game in WPG tonight).

Still 58 points the Flames have to play for.

Big game tomorrow sure, but not crucial. Another few days of rest won’t hurt. And, Prout playing in his spot will have its own advantages as well, given some of the antics of last SJ game.
