Give these kids a break, they’re not seasoned professionals and shouldn’t be expected to always make the perfect choices. But to boo the kid in the subsequent game, that’s shameful!
No excuse for the crowd booing him. Period.

But you can’t excuse his behavior. These players have played in hundreds of tournaments (maybe dozens) to this point in their career. An 18 year old is fully capable of losing with class and I’d expect better of kids much younger than that.

He apologized so hopefully that means he owns his mistake and is learning from it.

Well, things just got interesting. 2-1 Finns (after Finland made it 2-0)

Was just about to post that the Finns are a mess before US tied the game.

They need to gather themselves.

Talvitie limps to the dressing room again.

Crowd changing "Let's go Finland" quite loudly, that sounds weird

Not as weird as "U.S.A.! U.S.A.!" would sound in Canada

How about that, a gold medal won in regulation, I think that's a first for Finland

I always feel bad for the losing team in the Juniors, they are all so young.

Great game though, glad Finland won.

Third U20 championship in 6 years. Can't help but feel pretty good about Team Finlands future.

I always enjoy seeing a big Canadian crowd cheer for one of the other countries in this tourney. Must be a pretty awesome feeling for those kids to have that backing. Who was that goaltender for Slovenia (?) one year in Toronto that one year and the crowd was chanting his name?

I don't think anything will ever beat Sweden beating Russia in 2012 at the Saddledome. Listen at 4 mins in this video. That is literally as loud as the Dome gets for major Flames goals in the playoffs.

Is Luukkonen a Kipper 2.0? Should we trade for him?
