Merry Christmas Buddy. Kid had a career year with the Moose last year, but not really much this year, eh?
Does Lomberg have any suspension left or did he take care of it last trip up?

Neal and Bennett out of the lineup against the Stars was pretty apparent, so I can understand the Buddy call-up if they can't go tonight.
Will be fun to see what he brings with that 1st game energy. With that size, he could make a difference if he skates tonight.

In a direct comparison I was more impressed with Lomberg than Rychel. Lomberg is a better skater, and simply put skating is everything in today's NHL.

Lomberg is fast and gets in on the forecheck, Rychel can’t because he’s too slow. Czarnik despite having some speed rarely gets in on the forecheck.
There is nothing wrong with having Lomberg in against a fast team like the Lightning, he is one of the Flames quickest and fastest players. It’s just that he has zero offense. He won’t hurt you tho.

Lomberg may be fast without the puck but as soon as he has to stick handle all that speed goes out the window.
That speed is still good for some nice hits though

There won't be any liberties taken on Gaudreau with his BFF on the team. If anyone would go to bat for him it would be Robinson

Hard to argue with that, but considering that he plays a fourth line role he does a quality job of fore checking and back checking. Not to mention he brings some intensity.
Czarnik is by far the more skilled player but his lack of commitment to the forecheck is a gaping hole in his game. I think that Czarnik can learn a lot from the way Lomberg plays.

This team was lacking starting major league pitchers from the 1940s.

They're more buddies. But yes, they played hockey and baseball together as kids.

Czarnik looks like Nigel Dawes without the finish.
