Liked the effort, hated how close it was down to the wire. Peterson could have stole the game if LA could generate any offence.

The biggest moment of the game was Smith's save on the 2 on 1. Lead to the Phaneuf slash for Johnny's winner.

Playing King Nothing before the final face off was a nice little touch by the home side.

The Kings are bad. They need to just tear it down.

Flames were a bit lackadaisical, but finished off well. Also some bad puck luck sapped some momentum throughout.

Smith made that big save, which was good. Literally the only big save he had to make.

Got home as soon as the highlights started. Johnny hit the post 3 times!? Damn. Good to see him finally net one though.

yeah the kings broadcast has always called a good game. nice analysis too.

dominant performance that got more of the scoreline they deserved at the end, it was too close for too long, wish they'd put them away early

kylington was very dynamic. really tight with his gaps and reads, as well as rotation in the offensive zone

CAlgary has a few games in hand, but points wise, yeah, for an hour or so.

Johnny looked great all night so glad he got one! Team is full of confidence now it’s good to see. Rookie defence continues to look great out there! I liked Lomberg he did fine as energy and aggressive play and hitting, considering LA could have nicked it up he would have jumped all over them nice pissed off little pitbull. Now let’s eat some bread for the next game please!

If you consider him to be the backup, it's a perfectly accceptable backup game.

The Kings didn’t even look like they were trying out there.

Spoiler!

Big win!

Congrats Phaneuf on 1000 games. But no one cares! Smith let in a pooey goal, but made up for it with a game saver on the 2 on 1. Huge save.

Nice to see Johnny finally pot one after 3 posts. Not sure how that wrap around missed. But glad he potted one.

Big win for the team.

He's actually played pretty well since his starts have been cut back. Maybe at this stage of his career he can remain effective as the 1B playing every 3rd game or so.

Flames are now 8-3-2 at home so far this year. Pretty impressive, and such a nice change from last season's dismal home performances.
