Respecting the anthem should be an absolute requirement with an understanding what it represents along with the flag.
The whole one knee epidemic and people not giving a sh** should be conscripted and sent overseas for peace keeping duties. They'll get a hands on history lesson why it's important.
I dont want to turn this political but theres a difference between peaceful protest and disrespect. If u dont like how they protest maybe u are part of the problem.

Screw it I'm getting into it. Kaepernick kneeled to protest but also because an army vet suggested it to him as a more respectful way to protest that doesn't come off as being disrespectful to the troops:
I wouldn't worry too much, hockey ninja. It's a very peaceful way to protest a horrid culture towards African Americans. It got politicized by a racist, hateful president and then everyone had to take a side, and it became a burning issue.
Their country is inflamed and "look at another bad thing that black people do" is an easy sell right now. Hopefully things can calm down at some point and they can start to progress as a country again.

The games must be pretty boring if we are talking about anthems. I guess I'll chime in. I don't get why we need to stand and sing a song before every game to show our patriotism. Save the anthems for games on Remembrance Day or Canada Day when it actually means something.

If the Oilers lose too the last place Kings twice in a row it would be glorious. Hopefully the Kings dont start heating up though.
The Kings are ten points behind the Flames. They might make the playoffs, but it would take an epic collapse on Calgary's part to think that they pose anything of an actual threat. My hope is for LA to beat all of our Pacific Division rivals.

True but one big losing streak due too our shaky goaltending and it could be close. However with our luck watch the Kings/Hawks win the lottery and get right back to the top
What was the point of all that talk about Quick and not making a clean save. They kept saying it went through him, as if that makes it as good as a goal. Then they showed the replay and he stopped it, and it was just sitting there for a bit.
But the puck was "up for grabs" so that's good enough!
