Cousin Eddie: I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?

Clark : You're the gourmet around here, Eddie.

I'm a KD purist. No ketchup and no hot dog. Just lots and lots of pepper.

As for Ichiban I rarely ever eat it, but I have one question. Can anyone explain to me the phenomenon of not cooking it? Seriously, how can someone just throw the salt in the bag and eat the dried out noodles. Back in elementary and junior high this was considered the greatest lunch in the world, but I never really got on that wagon. I guess some people are just messed up.

What for? In case you need to dye some clothing with the most concentrated artificial colouring known to man? [/b][/quote]

Don't think I've had itchiban or similar product in 7 - 10 years. When I did eat it, it was 3 packets., cooked, then most of the water drained.

KD probably not eaten since 5 - 7 years. Used to just eat two packages with ketchup..

The thought of either makes me feel gross now..

itchiban.the crapy powder that comes with it, rooster hot sauce, montreal steak sauce, chilli peppers, cayene powder, franks red hot, waurcier sauce {sp} and some sugar to offset the hot sauce...... mmmmmm ...

on a side note, left over mash potatoes. pan fry them with alot of butter, add in a bit of garlic powder and when they are close to being done add in some milk and let it evaporate till they are thick again. now thats tasty.

hmmm someone should start a recipe thread.

My favorite way to eat KD is to cook the KD as instructed with the powdered cheese - dump it on a plate, add grated cheddar cheese, microwave it all for 2 minutes and then sprinkle on Tobasco Chipolte sauce - the more the better!

MMMMMMMmm.............

For Kraft Dinner, I like chopping up a raw onion and mixing it in after cooking the KD. It adds a superb flavor (if you like onion) and a satisfying "crunch."
