They warmed up wearing these retro jerseys:

Then changed into the current awful 3rds.

Such a silly marketing attempt. At first I thought they were wearing every jersey in history at some point during the year. I knew that likely wasn't true as the league is pretty strict about jerseys.

But warm up tributes are pretty silly at the best of times, and like I figured, they didn't even wear the kit, just the jerseys over the game kit, looks goofy. And for what? The two thousand fans that actually go down for warm up?

Stupid Anaheim.

I recall a poster making a comment about how Vancouver has failed to develop an identity with no standard logo or colour scheme. I think you can say the same about the Ducks.

That was a hilarious goal. Lindholm high sticks Glendening causing him to contact Gibson's stick as he grabs his face and goes down to one knee. At the same time Helm puts a weak backhand on net which gets through Gibson's now wide open five hole.

Haha stupid Ducks.

Ducks broadcast crew can't stop complaining about how it was goaltender interference. All while admitting that Anaheim decided not to challenge.

No ROW for Anaheim. This game is heading to a shootout.

Detroit is not a very good team playing the 2nd of back to backs while the Ducks didn't bother to show up until half way through the game.

Time for the shootout.

Dammit. I thought the octopus was going to be Detroit's good luck charm.

Patrice Bergeron gets the hat trick and an assist for a 4 point game, Pastrnak also had 4 points (2g, 2a). Bergeron scored 30 seconds into the game. The 2nd period had 4 goals in less than 5 minutes. The downfall for the Sens was having a 2 man advantage for over a minute in the 3rd period and not scoring. Dylan Demelo had 2 assists for the Sens.

The Sabres are looking good to start the season, the real deal Jack Eichel is playing well. The Knights out shot the Sabres 26-7 in the final 2 periods! Hutton was a stud in net. Okposo and Karlsson with 2 assists each for their respective teams.

The Islanders with a convincing home win. I thought Greiss would have been in net for the Isles as they played his former team. It was Lehner who gets the 35 save SHUTOUT. The Sharks controlled the 3rd period out shooting the Sabres 16-5 as Lehner stood his ground.

The Ducks are flying high as they win without Getzlaf, Eaves, Kase, and others. Anaheim is 3-0-0 to start the season, unfricken believable.
