Getzlaf will be one of the best players in NHL until he retires.

Sorry, but I never hope someone who plays a game for entertainment suffers pain. He may be a jackass but he’s still a human, stop acting like he’s a serial killer or pedophile.

We are exiting "apples & oranges" zone and entering the "apples and Peruvian armchairs zone", folks...

Yeah, it's as if he's Thanos the way he's being treated.

Wait a second, the guy enjoys playing the villian so much, now that I'm treating him like one, I'm outta line. Take your mock outrage somewhere else, it's tiresome.

Just observing...remember the fake knee injury in the playoffs against the flames and then the miraculous recovery after a trip to the room?

Can’t say that I like his style.

I think Bennett has underachieved, what do you think? I bet Perry thinks so.

One of the more underappreciated players of this generation. He probably carries his team more than any other forward in the league.

I still cringe and curse every time I think that we have picked Phaneuf over Getzlaf... We could have Getzlaf centering Iginla for a decade...

IMO a top end scoring defenceman is more valuable. It's easy to make that claim in hindsight, but if Phaneuf had become what many expected he could, it would have been the right call.

Yes, hoping someone with a family and kids suffers excruciating pain cuz they annoy you when they play a game of ice hockey is messed up imo. Obviously others disagree, I just don’t like those types of comments. Especially knowing how much effort, time, and pain these athletes put into their craft over the course of their career. That’s a comment I expect on an Oilers board, not here. I’m disappointed many agree with you.

Couldn't have happened to a more fitting person. Perry is the biggest piece of garbage in the league. If someone had to get hurt, I'm glad it was him. Everyone knows he's been the cause of many injuries the opposite way and someone who consistently does what he does is likely just as corrupted off the ice.

No one is out there hoping Perry gets injured.

But the fact is he is injured now, and no one around here has much sympathy. Those are two completely different realities.

Hoping he suffers excruciating pain is worse, no?

This is sooooooo Corey Perry.... Someone else fighting his battles for him. LOL

The guy is trash. I'm not wishing pain on his kids or wife, just hoping he suffers at least as much pain as he's caused over the years with his BS. He dosent play the game with any honor. He isn't worth the attention you are giving him, and if you disagree, we will forever be in disagreement. There are so many worthwhile causes out there, you are wasting your time on this one.

Isnt he out for the season with a back issue or something? I remember hearing that he struggled through last season but wasnt sure if he could do it again.
