Well im back in the thick of the yahoo pool after yesterday.

Best week ive ever had on this kind of pick em game as well.

90 out of 105 so far, and if the Steelers win tonight it will be 97.

Im sure i will fall right back to mediocrity next week though.

Why because Indy is a 27.5 point favorite? I mean seriously if theres going to be a blowout in the NFL this year, this is the game.
Peyton Manning Vs SF, there was a hint of sarcasm in my words.

Only undefeated team in the NFL right now!! Colts D gets it's biggest test coming up next week, against the Rams Offense. Let's see if there for real..

It might be their biggest test to date '87, but the Rams defense is so bad that the Colts D could take the game off and they would still win.

I wouldn't make any judgements about being for real on that side of the ball based on this game.

Wait until they play a good offensive team that has a defense capable of slowing down the Colts offense a little bit. Is there one of those on the schedule? Might not be!

Well unless the Colts fall asleep they'll be 7-0 coming off their bye week and going into New England for a Monday night game. That is the game where we should find out if they are the AFC favorite, or simply just a good team that fattened up on an easy schedule.

Now, the question I have is who is the best team in the NFC? Right now Tampa Bay has the best record at 4-1, but if not for that one call would be 3-2. When Caddilac Williams is healthy they look quite good, but is he going to take this kind of workload over an entire season, I mean 4 games in and he had to miss one to injury? Atlanta is 3-2 despite the fact that Vick has only been 100% for one whole game thus far, if he doesn't tweak that hammy against the Seahawks he had a chance on that 3rd and 10 to run for about 30 to get them in field goal position to tie that game. If he starts against the Pats maybe they win yesterday as well? Philly is 3-2 and was looking quite good until this past game. Washington is 3-1 with their only loss being on the road in Denver in a game that ended up quite close. Seattle is 3-2 with two road losses and one in OT on the road in Washington. Carolina is also 3-2 despite blowing their opener to a fired up Saints team. Also in there are the Giants at 3-1 with one of the leagues best scoring offences. I think Philly and Atlanta will come out as the two best teams, but I think it's really hard to tell. Usually 5 weeks in you can start gaging things, but I think we'll need 10 this year to get a better idea, and even than it won't clear up much more than we already know.

I agree Sylvanfan...you have to give the Colts the nod in the AFC. I don't think the Rams will even make them flinch. To be honest, I'm not sure the Pats will either.

The NFC? Wow...as I said 8 days ago, I think Green Bay could win the central even starting 0-4. Amazing. I think Philly is good, but they looked like shinguard yesterday and let's face it...they had to play out of their gourds to win that KC game too. They are suspect. I think Atlanta is pretty good and I don't think they need Vick to win. They run the ball very well. Are the Giants, Redskins and Cowboys for real? Carolina is right in the mix as well.

I think the top 5, maybe even 6 teams are all in the AFC. That's going to leave some good teams in the AFC on the outside looking in.

Right now I'd rate the NFL like this....

1. Indinanapolis
2. Pittsburgh
3. Denver
4. San Diego
5. New England
6. Philadelphia?

I hope the Steelers can get it done in San Diego tonight. I think their defense is the type that gives San Diego troubles. Tough on the run and blitzing from everywhere.

Steelers win in a great game in San Diego. They hold Tomlinson way under 100 yards.

Roethlisberger got hut and it looks bad. Still, they can get by quite well with Tommy Maddox I think.

Nov 28th...Monday Night Football....Pittsburgh @ Indianapolis......WOW!

edited to change 70 yards to 100 yards. I have no idea why I put 70 in there as I was thinking 100 the entire time. Maybe it's time to go to bed?

What I hate right now is that I paid to be in a NFL pool this year and I already don't want to make any more picks.

Uh, these games happened two days ago. But for the record, you went 3-6.
