Topher Grace has the worse name all time for actors. What the hell is a Topher??

Topher Vs Toby would be pretty good on screen.

Off topic a bit. I had a chance as a kid to buy Amazing Spiderman #1 from Comic Centre for $375. I had all my money saved up getting ready to go and then my dad asks me what i was going to buy and he said NO!!! took away my money and put it back into my bank account!! I remind him everyday now that it is worth over $16275us today.

In the Spiderman movies they have focused on getting people who can actually act, not just lookalikes. Tobey Macquire as Spiderman was poked fun at too, but he can act and has done great as Spiderman. Topher Grace will win you all over too, the kid is a marvelous actor and is going to be a star in a couple years with the right roles. I good actor like Grace will bring so much more then friggin Jake Busey..

Perhaps I have not seen him enough but in the movies I have seen and watching That 70's Show he certainly hasn't looked remotely close to being good.

Don't know enough about Spiderman to comment on whether he should be Venom but based on his acting skills I would suggest he shouldn't be in anything.

Yes.

He is going to be a big star and some recognition will be thrown his way. Look at his small role in Traffic or the fantastic job he did in "In Good Company" Great movie btw.

Topher Grace is a good actor, but I just don't think he fits the role of Venom at all. They've done a great job typcasting great actors up until now, and I just think Topher Grace strays from this. All, or most, of the actors thus far, to the best of my recollection, somewhat resemble the comic book character they are portraying. I just threw Busey out there cause his looks and onscreen persona seem to match that of the comic-book version of Venom.

Could very well be out of my depth here, as I have no glanced at my old comics for quite some time. Anyways, i'm sure i'll be proved wrong in the end...

Fair enough.

I found him annoying in Traffic and thought that In Good Company was awful.
