Thanks!

Just remember that the gondola is no longer free on the way down, so plan accordingly.

Also, you can take the back way down if you want something different. It’s pretty much a gravel road and you end up around Cave and Basin. Also plan accordingly if you parked at the trailhead.

West Wind Pass in spray lakes is relatively short (3km I think) but with decent elevation. Awesome panoramic view at the back overlooking a huge valley and the lakes at the front. Remember that at the bottom you're on the mountain bike trail for the first 5 minutes, you have to turn right onto the smaller dirt path to go to WWP.

Does any one know how long it takes to do ribbon falls and travel time to/from Calgary? Would be appreciated.

A nice walk (not too much "hike") with waterfall payoff at the end is Cat Creek, down in south K-Country. Could take the Highwood Pass home, if you go down Cowboy Trail and head west to this hike at Longview - stop off and do a hike or two somewhere along the Pass, if you started your day good and early - maybe Picklejar? What else in that area? Galatea, Lillian Lake, Watridge Lake from the Mt Shark lot, Old Baldy, Barrier Lake lookout, Jewell Falls, Rawson Lake, Ptarmigan Cirque, Pocaterra Cirque, Mt Kidd lookout, etc.

Troll Falls is a super easy hike to the falls, but if you go up and around/up top over the first falls where everyone heads to, there's some beautiful hiking back in there, if you follow the trail. More creek and waterfalls, and you can come back down on the other side of the creek, and ford it to walk back the way you came, to the parking lot. Some real goat trail in places - we did it with dogs, and it was a bit dicey in a couple of areas with the mutts, so I wouldn't take them if we decided to do it again.

For more information on the huge valley on the other side of West Wind Pass consult Pink Floyd...

I went there from Millarville and it was about 2 hours. I think it be a little shorter from Calgary?

It was 11 km from the starting point to the falls (where the campground is), but the walk was super easy, and then about 2km up a much steeper incline (needed ropes to climb rocks at one point) to a lake!
