More direct ownership meddling, for the win.

Man you gotta think though. From the perspective of the Canucks owners.

..How did you manage to mess that up even worse. I don't think this is a step in the right direction for their team at all. Maybe he will do better in a non-direct management role than as a gm, but I'm skeptical of that. He doesn't seem like he's very in touch with what was going on in the GM circles around him. Meaning a move like this just drives that disconnect further into the heart of Vancouver's team.

Not upset for Vancouver but surprising is the word that comes to mind.

Does Vancouver need a new GM?

2018 is shaping up to be a very good year for hockey.

I wonder if there's any Canucks fans happy with this move... or did the Canucks fans all go back to hackeysack now that their team sucks again?

With Burke and Linden stepping down how many POHO are left? Seems like that model has died out

Didn't the Flames kind of fill that role with Maloney though?

Pretty sure Maloney reports to Treliving and not the other way around.

Isn't Lowe in Edmonton a POHO? So yeah, dead.

JD was the first legitimately functional POHO in the NHL, and he is still there in Columbus. Shanahan is still working in TO, and of course there is the KLowen show up North.

Trust me, there are a lot of happy Canucks fans right now. At least the ones I follow on twitter. Now we just hope Benning goes soon too.

Also what's POHO?

Lowe is not President of Hockey Ops there. Chiarelli is.

I mean the Benning promotion. Is anyone happy about that?

Dim Jim may be one of the greatest names CP has made. I love it.

He’s not?!

So what the hell is Lowe’s affiliation with the Oilers? Has he now installed himself as the Grand Marshall or Supreme Leader?
