Nice!
The new guys can do whatever they want but I like to see Janko keep 77 and yeast mode 88.

Yes he did, he was the last somewhat okay player to wear it.

Brendan Morrison had 43 points wearing it with the Flames one year.

If they bring in some of the new guys for a media availability this week, it would be the perfect time to unveil the new thirds.

Number 6 should be unofficially retired until at least a whole new generation of on ice officials goes through.

Neal indicated he would likely be in Calgary in the next few days. 3 or so. So I expect at least he will be introduced this week via press conference.

OP updated. It does appear that Ryan will wear #10, and that Foo will keep #16.

one of these new guys should prove a point to King and select 14.
Why not?
Oh? Not allowed? Why?
Go public with it, and force the issue.
The man's jersey should be retired. End of story. So dumb it isn't.

If 2, 12, 14, and 34 are deemed untouchable because of former Flames greats, I wondered why 10 and 25 were still being passed around so many times over the years to star players such as Cervenka and Freddie. Are Roberts and Nieuwendyk not worthy of being "unofficially retired?"

I've always thought that as well, and I hate the Forever a Flame thing.. Retire the number or don't
However, since we are where we are:
Retire 14, 12, 34
FaF 10, 20, 28, 14 (Nilsson)

For a second there I said to myself "Braithwaite wore 25?"

I don't know why but think makes me happy. I have never been a fan players wearing numbers that are in the 90s.
