I love it.

Morrisey, Trouba, Hellebuyck, Lowry, Tanev, Poolman RFAs Connor , Laine, Wheeler looking for extensions.
Winnipeg will be tight to the cap without any over payment for UFAs for the next 5 years.

Watch Jets land O'Reilly. They have the prospects and picks to make a pretty good package to the Sabres.

Once it becomes official after 12 noon ET when it can be papered/signed, VGK deal with Paul Stastny is three years with an AAV of $6.5M. Stastny, BTW, is already in Vegas in anticipation of the completed deal.

Wow great deal for Vegas; helps offset the loss of Perron and potentially Neal

Taking a while to get to 5000

Wish he moved out of our division. Guy is a Flames killer, didn't want to see him more than twice a year like with St. Louis. Montreal would have been perfect.

His playoff performance in Winnipeg earned Stastny an extra 1.5 x 3

Winnipeg is the Edmonton of the NHL.

Yeah guys like schiefele, wheeler and ehlers really hate it here. Carry on.

Seems entirely too reasonable of a signing during UFA for one of the top players on the market. Problems playing a full season but a 55-60 (pro-rated) center who performs well in the playoffs and only 3 years at 6.5M? Heck of a signing by Vegas.

Yes. Well done, Winnipeg for re-signing your RFAs. That is exactly the same thing as competing for players on the UFA market.

Dollar amount is bang on for July1 but the 3 year term is robbery. Steal for Vegas.

Yeah, other than Vancouver, most of the deals today have reasonable term. Nice to see.

Woah...I've remained critical of GM GM despite the Vegas success this season (and I've enjoyed their season as much as anyone). I felt they succeeded in spite of McPhee, not because of. Still think he planned to build a draft lottery team with a shot at drafting Rasmus Dahlin/Svechnikov this year and Jack Hughes next year, and go from there...
Anyway, have to credit here - this would be a super savvy signing.
(He's still the guy who traded Filip Forsberg for Martin Erat : )

Solid, solid deal for Vegas. They actually got better so far, even if they lose Perron and Neal.
