Torts losing is just a bonus.
Pretty much how I feel about this as well.

My hockey pool bet is on Nashville - Pittsburgh in the finals with Nashville taking the cup this year. But, if Washington wins the series, I wouldn't be too upset.

The Pens looked very average against Philly. If they had goaltending they likely win the series. People will only see the massive points and ton of goals but Phillys D is young and has Gudas and no goaltending. I see them having fits with the Caps.

Caps in 6.

Another high scoring series that goes 6 games with the Pens on top.

Guentzel will continue his assault on the playoff leaderboard scoring getting Dion more points for his pool

Like most, I'd love to see OV win a cup, but never bet against Sid... Pens in 7.

The League still hasn't announced the schedule for the second round series yet, but it will probably be similar to last year's...

First series is often the toughest. Pens will roll on now.

This will probably be the best series of the playoffs. It was last year.

Honestly, it has some stiff competition this time. Obviously Nashville / Winnipeg is the two titans of the West duking it out, so that's the headliner. But no matter who Tampa plays, that series should be a lot of fun - either the two top teams in the East, if Boston, which will be a festival of filthy, physical battling complete with a few questionable and controversial moments, as is Boston tradition. Or, if it's the Leafs, it has the potential to be north-south hockey every single game, trading chances between two offensive powerhouses.

So of the four series, three have potential to be classics.

I’m not particularly upset that the first round wasn’t as competitive and exciting as it usually is because it set us up for a great second round. Sometimes it’s better if all of the top seeds advance and we get better second round match ups.

Yup no big upsets in the first round made this possible.

Pittsburgh-Washington is more fun than having Columbus or Philly in round two.

Tampa vs Boston or Toronto is more fun than having New Jersey in round two.

Nashville - Winnipeg may be the best matchup of the playoffs based on how much fun those regular season games were this year.

And even though you could argue LA-Anaheim would have been more fun than VGK vs San Jose due to the rivalry aspect, these teams are more entertaining on the ice than LA and Anaheim were this year.

Might be one of the rare years where the 2nd and 3rd round of the playoffs are more fun than round 1.
