If they dont win this then I dont know what to say.
I mean, when I was looking at the schedule I saw last night's Vegas game and basically said: "You have to win that one, and then you take the 2 points in Phoenix and hope remains."
Yesterday they needed to fight and battle and earn 2 points and they came out and got their asses handed to them.
Phoenix is done. They're dead. They dont care. They dont even want these 2 points. Can the Flames take them? Does it even matter because we are so, so desperate that we really needed all 4. 2 doesnt help much.
There was hope yesterday. Today? Not so much.

Flames should use their 3 call-ups and play the young men. Let's salvage what we can this season by seeing what we have in the pipeline:
Anderson - call him up already, what more does he have to prove
Foo - may as well call up, he has 18g and is a RW/RHS we've got nothing to lose at this point.
Kylington - Why not

Came to post pretty much this. Definitely Anderson though. We know what we have in Bartkowski, let Anderson have some games while a Brodie heals up.

Really hope we can see that instead of a second pairing of Bart-Hamonic!

I think I'm going to work on my stamp collection tonight. Or slowly saw off my pinky finger with a really dull knife.
After yesterday, my give a crap meter is through the floor.

I'd love to see Andersson, kylington, foo, wotherspoon (if healthy), klimchuk, Rittich, Gillies up asap.
What do you have there? Let's try to give them some game time and find out.
Heck, maybe try another line combo or two? Well I guess it's worked so well this season might as well stick with it.
Idiocy continued.

No news on Brodie yet? No news on call-ups? Assuming TJ can't go, I'd like to see Wotherspoon get a shot. He's earned it this year and he's an UFA in the off-season. Would be a shame to let him go for nothing now that he seems to have reached his potential in the A. And he's a left shot. Really I'd be happy to see Wotherspoon/Andersson on the 3rd pair for as long as Brodie is out.

I dunno. It wouldn't be the worst thing if the Islanders leap frog the Oilers and Canucks and push them back in the order. We've already lost the pick anyway. We only play the Islanders twice a year.

I'd love to see Fox sign and get a game or two in... that's probably the only thing that will get me to tune in at this point. However, he'll probably go back to college for another year and leave me disappointed yet again with literally every aspect of this season. At least Johnny got a ton of points!

5-0 Coyotes? 6-0? Or just 3-0?
Not sure what kind of loss I'm feeling today. Maybe a 1-0 would do as well.
Anything to get Gulutzan out of this city.

Same here. Been doing other things then suffering through these horribly-resulted games lately, and I feel better for it. Can actually get a decent sleep tonight.
Watch the Flames bore their way through a game they aren't even a lock to win against a bottom feeder? No way Glen. You can't trick me again.

I'm a bit past Wotherspoon but agree on the rest.
Let's see this lineup.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Bennett
Klimchuk - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Jankowski - Foo
Lazar - Shore - Brouwer
Giordano - Hamilton
Kylington - Hamonic
Kulak - Andersson
They probably wouldn't do much worse that what we are seeing right now.

I'm pretty meh on the game tonight, but fortunately in BC it's reasonable timewise. Will watch for a bit and if it's crap, will turn to Altered Carbon for better amusement (although it has little to do with the book, it's more entertaining than most Flames games....).

I'll watch if nothing else is on, but there's nothing left to see from this team until pre-season

Did they even call up a defender or are they just throwing in Bart?
