Collective blindness.

Plays are dying on Hathaway's stick, he needs to be replaced.

I think Shore, Stewart and Lazar should all be tried, to see if there is chemistry.

My personal choice is Lazar, the line could use his speed, he is good defensively, and I think he and Bennett would be good on the forecheck together.

But anything other than Hathaway.

I'd like to see Tkachuck on the first line so the shuffle that would cause would see Ferland on line 3

13 - 23 - 19
21 - 11 - 67
93 - 77 - 79

This would give Bennet and Janko a big strong talented winger to play with while letting Hathways defensive game shine on the Shutdown line.

I'm a big fan of Ferlands and don't think he needs a demotion, but I see that line as the future 2nd line and would make the cutrent third line mich more dangerous

In no way should Hathaway be on the 2nd line. That line also creates offence. Something Hathaway will not provide . Hathaway is ideally a 4th line winger/13 th forward.

I think we should try Lazar on either the third or second line. If second you move Tkachuk to the first line and put ferland on the third.
Lazar has been showing up lately, let's show some confidence in him and see if he grows a bit more!

Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Bennett-Jankowski-Lazar

or

Tkachuk-Monahan-Gaudreau
Frolik-Backlund-Lazar
Bennett-Jankowski-Ferland

with Hathaway-Stajan-Brouwer pulling up the bottom.

Alternately you go really radical and see if you can pick on some mismatches:

Bennett-Monahan-Ferland
Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik
Gaudreau-Jankowski-Lazar

Yup, it's a good reminder for anyone thinking he'll be a huge help. People can go back and read some work the GTs before he got hurt.
