I think it’s just the nature of the play. 99% of the time it’s a play killer. Rarely do you see the team retain possession of the puck.

90% of the time, possession would change with offensive player being knocked down, right? That didn't happen here. However, you could be right.

Watching this game clarifies something ...

I hate the Ducks more than any team. By a mile. Far more than the oilers.

Good, Anaheim is the only team that won't have any games in hand if they can hang on here.

Plus taking Anaheim out will be damned satisfying!

Just took a walk through the rest of Anaheim’s season... pretty much the same lineup as us.

Personally would have rather seen a Stars loss, but the regulation result is the only thing that matter at this moment.

Well the Ducks hold more playoff spots than the Stars.(Pacific and WC) Now the Flames are 2 points back of the Ducks.. and the Flames play the Ducks at home later this month. I think they are easier to catch up to.

Yep. Good point.
All other things remaining equal, the Flames beat the ducks and they will have the ROW advantage on them, so the edge in tie breaker.
I'm with ya

1 at 2 in regulation time

5 at 2

Seth Jones scores 2 goals and the BJs win puts them 1 point ahead of the Devils as both teams hold the last 2 playoff spots. The division title is still within reach for both teams as the 1st place Penguins are only 5 points up on the BJs.

The Ducks had a 1-0 lead going into the 3rd period. They got into penalty trouble and the Stars scored 2 PPGs and hang on to win 2-1. Miller played well in net despite the loss. Jamie Benn with 2 points.

The Wild get a big win over the Canucks to put them solidly in 3rd place in the Central Division.
