As far as I know he was favoured to medal in this event, yes? And didn’t even land a trick? That’s a choke.

Parrot is going for it, his last jump is going to be dramatic, one way or another.

If you're favoured in a high-variance event , and fail, that's not a choke.

Why does people posting on the internet always criticize athletes while sitting on their couch not qualifying for the Olympics

He made the finals, he has a bronze in the Olympics, he was nearly dead 11 months ago

None of our athletes "choked"

How about you go land in front of all the people and millions of viewers

Toutant in a great position to hold on to first. Hopefully Perrot comes through clutch like in the slope style final.

You would see a lot more falls and potentially injuries if that were the format. 2 of 3 is an incentive to hold back and actually land your jumps.

To extend to the above post it also requires the athlete to have more than one trick, requires more skill

A choke? Maybe if he didn't make the final because he couldn't get a 180 off the jump.

Ah yes, the end of all criticism of anything ever. “I don’t see YOU doing it”.
Go drop that in a Flames game PGT after a dumb loss.

Is that supposed to be Justification for you criticizing mcmorris for making the finals of an Olympic event?

I get that. And it makes sense.
As does saying encourages guys to jump a bit more safely, and see less injuries.
It just eliminated half the field half way through today.
